I see the full moon rising, I know that fall is coming soon! Join us for a guided hike under the Harvest Moon on Tuesday, September 17th at 7pm. We'll take a short hike while learning about what nighttime in the park is like for us and for the critters that live here. This hike is for ages 10+ and costs $3 per person. Please register ahead of time by calling 518-279-1155.

Grafton Lakes State Park's Fire tower has a long history and has had a huge impact on the community. Join a state park educator, a fire tower steward, and several other people who have a deep connection to the fire tower. Listen to stories and learn about the history of the tower, who knows, maybe by the end, you will want to volunteer to be a fire tower steward as well! Call to register at (518) 279-1155.

Grab a warm sweater and a blanket! It's that time of the year again, lets go out sit by the fire and tell stories like we always have. Join us early on at 7 for a reading of a kid's book by the fire, and stay late for 8 where we get to tell some scary stories. Bring your best scary story, some snacks, and a warm smile so you're ready to meet some new people and enjoy the night! OH, and the best part is, we will have SMORES!!! Have you ever wondered what a lizard's favorite food is? Wonder no more! Join us for a talk about some of our Welcome Center animals -- what, why, and how they eat the food that they do! This program will include an educational portion, as well as a feeding of several of our reptiles during the program. This free program is open to ages 4+ and will be held on Saturday, September 28th.
