These listings of historic sites highlight significant statewide historical themes - the Revolutionary War, Women, Underground Railroad and Theodore Roosevelt. Visitors can explore these sites to gain a more comprehensive understanding of New York's important role in the history of our nation.

Many of these sites have received support from the New York State Office of Parks and Recreation and Historic Preservation to allow them to share their stories with a broader audience, as well as encourage visitors to explore the vast historical resources of New York State.
